What is the e-Visa Cambodia?

The e-Visa Cambodia is an online visa issued by the Kingdom of Cambodia Government to travel to Cambodia for touristic purposes. It was officially launched in April, 2006, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Kingdom of Cambodia.

What are the advantages of applying for an online Visa?

Applying for a tourist visa online has many advantages; you do not need to visit the embassy, you avoid long lines while waiting for your visa on arrival to be done. The process is faster, simpler, secure and allows to have your e-Visa in hand before arriving in Cambodia. All you need is a computer with Internet connection, and you can apply whenever and wherever you are.

What do I need to apply for e-Visa Cambodia?

Current passport valid for at least six (6) months with at least one empty page, a recent passport-size photo in digital format (JPEG or PNG format), a valid credit card (Visa/MasterCard).

Is the Visa valid for single entry or for multiple entries within the period of validity?

It is valid for single entry only.

Who is not eligible to apply for e-Visa Cambodia?

The following countries are not eligible to apply for the e-Visa Cambodia:

  • Afghanistan.
  • Algeria.
  • Arab Saudi.
  • Bangladesh.
  • Iran.
  • Iraq.
  • Pakistan.
  • Sri Lanka.
  • Sudan.
  • Nigeria.

  • Nationals of these countries will need to apply for a Visa at the nearest embassy or consulateor on-arrival at all major checkpoints.

    Who does not need a Visa when traveling to Cambodia?

    Holders of normal passports of the following countries do not require a visa for Cambodia for up to 30 days (unless otherwise noted):

  • Indonesia.
  • Laos.
  • Philippines. (21 days)
  • Malaysia.
  • Singapore.
  • Thailand (14 days).
  • Vietnam.
  • If I have more than one passport, can I apply for the Visa using the information from one passport and then travel with the other passport?

    No. Travelers are required to travel with the passport they used on their e-Visa application.

    How long does it take to process e-Visa for Kingdom of Cambodia?

    The processing time is 3 business days, once application is complete and all additional information is available. Please note that in some cases it may take up to 4 business days.

    What to do after I receive my e-Visa for Kingdom of Cambodia?

    Once your application is approved it will be sent via email. You must print at least two copies and have it with you at all times when you travel to Cambodia. You will be required to present one copy of the printed e-Visa once you arrive, and another copy when leaving Cambodia.

    Can I print my e-Visa in Black and White?

    Yes. All copies of your e-Visa have to be clear and visible.

    What is the validity of an e-Visa Cambodia?

    An e-Visa Cambodia once issued is valid for three (3) months from the date of issue, and allows a single entry.

    Can I extend my e-visa Cambodia?

    Yes. Your Visa can be extended up to 30 days at the Cambodian National Police Immigration Department, Ministry of Interior.

    Can I stay in Cambodia after my Visa expires?

    Yes. As long as you use your entry visa to enter Cambodia before its expiration date. You are then allowed to stay up to 30 days after your date of entry.

    What to do in case I have made a mistake on my application?

    In case you have entered incorrect information and only realized the mistake after having submitted your e-Visa application, you will need to re-apply for a new travel authorization. The old application will be automatically canceled.

    Can I apply on behalf of a third party?


    I plan to travel from Cambodia to another country for a short trip and return back to Cambodia again. Do I need to apply for two Visas?

    Yes. An e-Visa is only valid for a single entry.

    I plan to travel to Cambodia in three months time, can I apply now? If not, when can I start applying?

    We advise you apply for your e-Visa Cambodia at least 2 weeks before the date your departure date.

    Do children under the age of 12 need an e-visa?

    Yes, they do.

    Is the Visa valid for single entry or for multiple entries within the period of validity?

    Do children above the age of 12 that still travel with their parent's passport need a Visa?

    Yes. All children above the age of 12 require a Visa, despite travelling with a parent's passport or with their own passport.

    Yes. Please provide estimated information. You can edit your travel information once it is confirmed within 3 months from date of approval.

    My trip was delayed and my e-Visa has expired. Do I need to apply for a new e-Visa?

    Yes. Please re-apply for a new e-Visa.

    For what type of Visa can I apply online?

    You may only apply for a Tourist Visa online.

    I am traveling to Cambodia via Thailand, Vietnam or Laos but I am not sure which port I will be using. What should I do?

    Not all border checkpoints support e-Visa. Holders of e-Visas may enter via the following entry points:
